Are we hypocrites?

The smallest of things can bring a smile to your face or a tear in your eye, anything can really affect your mood. For girls, sometimes it’s nothing at all, and you’ll say “oh, it’s just a mood swing”. But why does it happen? Why do we let things affect us so much?

We are millennials, we are independent, more conscious of things around us, more aware, then why can’t we control our mood? Why do we need something or someone else to feel better? Chocolates, alcohol, books, telephone, a friend, your mom/ dad/ family, your boyfriend/ husband, music – all this rings a bell? Doesn’t it all affect you in some way or the other? There are tactics like ‘mind over matter’ or ‘out of sight, out of mind’, but do they really work? Why are we still so dependent? Can people really be self-content or live alone all their life? Why do things or other people have so much power over us?

So either we should stop being hypocrites and stop calling ourselves independent or just do something about it!
